District Court for the Western District of Missouri, a
pretrial conference was held in the above-entitled cause
before me on February 1, 2017. Defendant Young Isinwa
appeared in person and with Assistant Federal Public Defender
Travis Poindexter. The United States of America appeared by
Assistant United States Attorney David Ketchmark and Sheldon
Beer, Civil Rights Division.
8, 2015, an indictment was returned charging defendant with
one count of deprivation of civil rights, in violation of 18
U.S.C. § 242.
following matters were discussed and action taken during the
Ketchmark announced that he and Sheldon Beer will be the
trial counsel for the government. The case agent to be seated
at counsel table is FBI Special Agent Damian Martinez.
Poindexter announced that he will be the trial counsel for
defendant Young Isinwa.
is currently one motion pending for ruling, a motion in
limine filed by the government on September 12, 2016

Ketchmark announced that the government intends to call 5
witnesses with stipulations during the trial.
Poindexter announced that defendant Young Isinwa intends to
